Art has a very important place in society - not least because it contributes to the well being of our children but it helps us to conceptualise amazing possibilities for commerce.
This is an image > we produced to launch a new global software company for a Saudi Arabian Company. It was a business news company company that would give updates 24 hours a day. It was supported and developed by IBM and Reuters the ‘News Agency’. What I love about it – is the child like simplification of the aeroplane, buildings and clocks. Who says children cannot help to promote a multi-billion dollar multi-national national company?? We have lots of examples where creativity plays an important role in promoting worldwide products.
When the bailiffs came…
When I was about 7 years old, my younger sister and me had an awful fright… The bailiffs came this morning! A long time ago, I know but I remember it vividly as if it were yesterday. Servants of the system were performing their tasks like robots. Dark clouds came closer and loomed menacingly
Our furniture looked alien amongst the weeds Curtains moved in the neighbours windows –
Thin noses poked out, sneers fell about.
Mum was weeping, the door shut hollow finally on a barren house.
A warm tear fell into my palm…
It was starting to rain.
That’s me above) when I was about 7 years of age – our whole family suffered from my alcoholic father. It left a scar on myself and my sister that lasted many years. I learned resilience, and a super power ‘creativity’ and how to survive. Creativity helped my to think of novel ways I might overcome my fears and grow as a person. Music, Art and Writing were the bedrocks and anchors of my journey through life:-) I am grateful for the learning!
